Job Description: Description of activities and key responsibilities of the function

  • Overseeing and coordinating the work of repair teams
  •  Ensuring that all repair work is carried out to the highest standard
  •  Training and mentoring junior staff
  •  Ensuring that all work is carried out within the agreed timeframe
  •  Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  •  Ensuring that all equipment and materials are used correctly and safely
  •  Liaising with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that all work is carried out to their satisfaction
  •  Carrying out regular inspections of work to ensure that it meets the required standards
  •  Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise during the repair process
  •  Keeping accurate records of all work carried out and any issues or problems that arise
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to project specifications.
  • Assign tasks to workers based on their skills and the project requirements monitoring progress and quality of work.
  • Train new team members on job duties safety protocols and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Inspect equipment and materials regularly to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and other supervisors to coordinate work activities and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of worker's attendance work performed and materials used.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to management on workflow worker performance and potential improvements.
  • Handle minor disciplinary issues among workers promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure your competent and skill-based certificates are valid and communicate with the supervisor if getting expired.

Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Higher Secondary level or equivalent

  • Proven experience in a Chargehand Repairing or similar role
  • Strong understanding of repair techniques and processes
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to train and mentor junior staff
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to carry out physically demanding work
  •  Strong attention to detail
  •  Good organizational and planning skills
  •  Ability to work as part of a team

  • Minimum 3 years related experience

  • Skilled in specific trade supervision.
  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within the construction or manufacturing sectors.
  • Knowledge of industry safety standards regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
