Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in line with local regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify unsafe conditions and implement corrective measures.
  • Facilitate HSE training programs and awareness campaigns to enhance the safety competence of all employees.
  • Manage and investigate incidents and accidents, analyzing the causes and assisting in the development of preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of HSE performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a robust safety culture and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in emergency response drills and develop emergency preparedness plans.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the HSE function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in the oil and gas or construction sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience in performing safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver effective HSE training programs.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
  • Familiarity with emergency response procedures and incident investigation protocols.
