Job Description: Description of activities and key responsibilities of the function
- Service heavy vehicles according to an established preventive maintenance schedule. Rotate and balance tires; change oil and filters; lubricate vehicle parts; inspect and replace hoses, belts, mirrors, and lamps; and maintain all fluid levels.
- Full-time availability in case of an emergency.
- Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
- Sound knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and air conditioning systems of heavy vehicles.
- Read and Understand Mechanical Drawings
- Report unsafe acts and conditions to your supervisor
- Carry out tasks where trained and authorized to do so.
- Maintain and ensure competent and skill-based certificates are valid and communicate with the supervisor before it getting expire.
HSE Behavioral Skills
- Adhere to NMDC HSE Policy.
- Follow the HSE Management System procedures and safe working instructions.
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
- High School Certificate or ITI/Diploma in relevant technical certification from a recognized institute or successfully completed an apprenticeship as a Mechanic.

- Able to cooperate with and supervise personnel with different cultural backgrounds.
- Show respect, flexibility, and loyalty towards colleagues throughout the organization.
- Communicate clearly and succinctly both orally and in writing.
