Mechanical Quantity Surveyor
Department: Commercial / Contracts
Reports To: Managing Director
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to support our growing portfolio of mechanical, data centre, and power generation projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost control, estimating, contract administration, and commercial management from tender through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
· Carry out detailed mechanical estimating and tendering
· Administer contracts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts
· Monitor project costs and report on financial performance
· Manage subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiations
· Assess risk, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures
· Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial control
· Support dispute resolution and claims management where required
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience in:
• Mechanical contracts
• Estimating
• Commercial management / quantity surveying
• Strong background in one or more of the following industries:
• Mechanical building services
• Data centre projects
• Power generation projects
• 2–3 years’ experience working on projects in Ireland and/or Europe
• Experience with filtration systems is a strong bonus
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred but not essential with strong experience)

· Proficient in cost reporting and estimating software
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
· High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
