The Demand & Supply Planning Manager, working under the Senior Operations Manager, is responsible for the overall performance of the Demand and Supply Planning activities across the entire company. This position ensures that demand forecasts, supply plans, and purchase plans are properly created and sent weekly to the corresponding stakeholders. This role will work closely with Purchasing, Commercial, Logistics, Warehouse, and Commissary teams to ensure the continuous availability of supply from end-to-end to meet sales requirements.

Job Dimensions:

The Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the role are anchored on forecast accuracy and supply availability. The Demand & Supply Planning Manager must develop demand forecasts for multiple time horizons and be on top of various stock movements to ensure 100% availability of goods across the supply chain at any given time. He/she must have an in-depth understanding of inventory management with a holistic perspective on system inventory and a wide horizon on projecting and anticipating volume requirements.

Responsibilities

Demand Planning

  • Develops the total demand forecast plan derived by correlating various metrics such as SKU forecast accuracy, sales data, service level, stockouts, and marketing promos
  • Conducts historical sales analysis and data cleansing to build a statistical baseline forecast per SKU
  • Evaluates the accuracy of the demand plan and prepares relevant reports pertaining to demand planning processes
  • Coordinates with the Commercial team to conduct forecast reviews

Supply Planning

  • Ensures supply availability across distribution points to minimize operational downtimes and eliminate potential lost sales while still optimizing transport costs
  • Analyzes historical and current inventory movements and translate data to distribution plans
  • Oversees the creation of distribution plans to ensure timely replenishments to kitchen demands, considering the demand plan, safety stock requirements, and capacity limitations
  • Manages the calculation of monthly orders based on the sales forecast, stock covers, supplier lead time, and warehouse storage capacity
  • Develops and implements process improvements to the inventory management systems and processes


Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, preferably in the field of Supply and Demand Planning
  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or any related program
  • Knowledge on ERP and other related tools (NetSuite, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving, mathematical, and analytical skills
  • Experience with statistical analysis
  • In-depth understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Capability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
