About the job Inventory Associate

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and Storing: Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality, and properly store items according to guidelines.
  • Inventory Tracking: Regularly track and update inventory levels using inventory management software or systems, ensuring real-time accuracy.
  • Ordering Supplies: Collaborate with the Kitchen Head to determine inventory needs and place orders with vendors as required.
  • Stock Rotation: Implement and maintain a stock rotation system to minimize waste and ensure the freshness of ingredients.
  • Distribution: Coordinate the distribution of supplies and ingredients within the kitchen, ensuring that all stations have what they need.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food items.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular inventory reports, highlighting any discrepancies, shortages, or other issues for management review.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to understand their needs and support them as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in inventory management is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management, preferably in a cloud kitchen or food service environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in inventory management software or systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and storage regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
