The Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy working environment within the commissary facility. This role involves not only overseeing health, safety, security, and environmental aspects but also includes handling minor repairs and operating Sewage Treatment Plants (STP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, security, and environmental compliance, coupled with the ability to perform minor repairs and operate STP equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE):

Develop and Implement HSSE Policies: Develop, implement, and enforce health, safety, security, and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.

Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.

Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Training and Awareness: Provide HSSE training and awareness programs for employees, emphasizing safe work practices.

Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.

Minor Repairs:

Facility Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to minor repairs promptly.

Collaboration: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of repair issues.

Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) Operation:

STP Monitoring: Operate and monitor Sewage Treatment Plants to ensure efficient and compliant treatment of wastewater.

Maintenance of STP Equipment: Conduct routine maintenance on STP equipment and promptly address any malfunctions.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to STP operation and wastewater discharge.

Reporting:

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of HSSE activities, minor repairs, and STP operations.

Reporting: Provide regular reports to LGU or other government offices in compliance with relevant government regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety).

Experience: Previous experience in HSSE roles and STP operation is preferred.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in HSSE (e.g., OSHA, PCO), and any certifications related to STP operation.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems and implement effective solutions.

Teamwork: Collaborative approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with minor repairs tools and equipment, as well as STP operation.
