About the job Logistics Officer
Job Purpose
He/She will be directly reporting to the Transport Manager regarding overall transport day-to-day operations.
1. The Transport Officer under the Operation department shall be responsible for transport service booking, schedule coordination, and logistics billings.
2. The Transport Officer is responsible for the monitoring of delivery, retrievals, truck inspection, transport service provider records, attendance, and servicing.
3. Work closely with the warehouse supervisors, supply planning officers, and dispatch team to discuss all inbound and outbound related transactions.
Main Duties
Transport Service Capacity and Availability
- Ensure that vehicles are booked and scheduled for every transport service regular and special requirements.
Ensure truckload utilization.
Clerical and Administrative
Truck attendance encoding
Weekly truck inspection report encoding
Time of truck arrival to kitchens tracking and encoding
Load discrepancy editing.
Maintains and updates stakeholders' exact locations and Ad hoc pin locations
Responsible in maintaining transportation costs, toll fees, distance, travel time database
Vendor Management
Tracks 3PL truck and personnel attendance.
Transport Service provider weekly truck condition inspection.
Training and People Management
Responsible for communicating accurate information to customers.
Ensure conformance of dispatch and delivery team with workplace safety, and operations procedures according to standards.
Develops and implements training programs and modules regarding dispatch protocols.
Inventory and Product Quality Control
Responsible for transfer variances investigation, balancing, and resolutions.
Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
