Generating an annual turnover of 4.1 billion and employing approximately 18,000 people, the company offers a wide range of products including exclusive and premium brands, as well as its own private label. With around 40 stores in Croatia and Slovenia and ambitious plans for further expansion, the company is continuously investing in organizational growth and local market development.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to lead and execute local marketing activities for Croatia and Slovenia, based in the companys commercial office in Zagreb. This is a highly operational role, ideal for a dynamic and communicative professional with solid retail or wholesale experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans tailored to the Croatian and Slovenian markets, in alignment with Group strategy.
  • Manage the local marketing budget and ensure efficient cost control (basic P&L skills required).
  • Coordinate and supervise marketing campaigns with a strong focus on offline activities, including retail promotions, trade marketing, in-store communication, and local events.
  • Adapt Group-provided materials and strategies to local cultural and regulatory contexts (e.g., visual elements, tone of voice, cultural sensitivities).
  • Lead and motivate a local marketing team of 4 people, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to optimize marketing output.
  • Collaborate closely with HQ (performance marketing and digital strategy are centralized) to ensure brand consistency.
  • Handle local CRM and social media channels to enhance customer engagement.
  • Define local priorities and create action plans to support business objectives and retail performance.

Key Requirements

  • 5 years of marketing experience in retail or wholesale environments.
  • Proven ability to lead or coordinate a team, even in smaller structures.
  • Strong operational mindset, with a hands-on approach to marketing execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing agencies and budgets.
  • Familiarity with offline marketing tools; digital is a plus but not core to the role.
  • Basic knowledge of P&L and cost controlling, with the ability to define and prioritize investments.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Croatian and/or Slovenian is a strong advantage.
  • High energy, adaptable, and culturally aware of local market specifics.
  • Preferably male (as per client's specific team balance needs).
