We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate Geotech professionals, providing quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, mining and energy sectors.
Our Perth-based Tailings team is looking to bring on a Geotechnical Engineer with experience in the geotechnical design of tailings storage facilities.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Tailings Engineer, team player and able to share knowledge. You will be working on projects ranging from inner city buildings and infrastructure to remote green field projects in the energy space. We are looking for experienced Tailings Engineers with 2-8 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the technical team to develop, provide and promote design solutions, options and initiatives to meet client needs
- Work with the senior technical team to contribute to detailed designs for projects ranging from building foundations to temporary works, infrastructure and tailings storage facilities.
- Undertake technical and non-technical tasks and take responsibility for the accuracy and quality of our work
- Ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget and to the desired quality standards
- Maintaining good relationships with existing clients and working with the client relations/business development team to target new opportunities
Qualifications/Experience/Attributes
- Qualified Geotechnical/Civil Engineer with 2+ years of experience working in a geotechnical consulting environment.
- Motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Team player
- Good analytical skills and prior knowledge of geotechnical design software will be viewed favourably (Plaxis, Rocscience Slide, RSPile, Settle3, LimitState Geo etc.)
- Experience working on tailings storage facilities is preferred but not necessary
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- A high standard of accuracy and attention to detail is a must
- Current Aus drivers license
- Combination of office-based and field-based work, ability to travel
