We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate engineers and geologists who provide quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction infrastructure and energy sectors.
Our Perth team is looking to bring on a GIS Analyst with experience in spatial data, analysis, and mapping. You will primarily work with our Western Australia region, supporting mining and infrastructure projects and assessment-based projects, such as landslide mapping.
As the standalone GIS Analyst, you'll have at least 7+ years of experience (preferably in a consultancy setting) and be confident managing your time and working across multiple projects.
This role is unfortunately not suited to a junior analyst who requires significant oversight. You will be the lead specialist within your field at CMW, and our geotechnical team will look to you for GIS-related expertise.
Responsibilities
- Produce high‑quality maps and spatial outputs using ArcGIS Pro
- Perform spatial analysis to support operational and strategic decision‑making
- Build, maintain and manage ESRI geodatabases and spatial datasets
- Use model builder workflows to automate routine geoprocessing tasks
- Apply linear referencing techniques for asset and network datasets
- Work with ArcGIS Pro extensions, including Spatial Analyst and/or 3D Analyst
- Collaborate with technical teams working across CAD, GIS and engineering platforms
- Support ad‑hoc spatial queries, data reviews and quality checks
What You'll Need
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Spatial Data
- 5+ years of relevant experience within GIS
- Demonstrated experience usingArcGIS Profor data analysis and map production
- Strong familiarity with ESRI geodatabases and common ESRI data formats
Preferable
- Experience using ModelBuilder for geoprocessing automation
- Experience with linear referencing
- Experience using Spatial Analyst and/or 3D Analyst extensions in ArcGIS Pro
- Exposure to AutoCAD and/or MicroStation environments
- Some exposure to QGIS
