Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking experienced and customer-focused Food & Beverage Supervisors for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for supervising restaurant and food service operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining service standards, and supporting smooth daily Food & Beverage activities within a professional hospitality environment. The ideal candidates should possess strong leadership abilities, hospitality service knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily Food & Beverage operations across restaurants, bars, lounges, room service, and banquet areas to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Coordinate and assign duties to Waiters, Bartenders, and service staff while ensuring operational readiness before service periods begin.
  • Monitor food and beverage service standards, table presentation, cleanliness, and guest experience quality consistently.
  • Conduct daily shift briefings to communicate operational updates, VIP arrivals, reservations, promotions, and service expectations.
  • Handle guest complaints, service recovery situations, and special dining requests professionally to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate closely with Kitchen, Stewarding, and Front Office teams to ensure efficient communication and seamless operations.
  • Monitor inventory usage, breakages, operational supplies, and stock requirements within service areas.
  • Support staff training, coaching, grooming inspections, and performance evaluations to maintain luxury hospitality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures throughout all F&B outlets.
  • Assist in banquet operations, special events, conferences, and private dining arrangements when required.
  • Prepare operational reports, shift summaries, and service performance updates for management review.
  • Monitor billing accuracy, POS operations, and cash handling procedures during service operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations within hotels or hospitality environments.
  • Previous supervisory experience in restaurant or hospitality operations is preferred.
  • Experience in luxury hotel operations is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality service standards and guest experience management.
  • Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Proficiency in English communication is required.
  • Candidates from the National College of Tourism (NCT) and other hospitality colleges or institutes are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates who are proficient in more than one language (multilingual) will have an added advantage.
