Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support Engineering & Construction projects in Dar es Salaam. The role involves overseeing mechanical design, installation, maintenance, and project execution while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience and be ready to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and supervise installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project plans.
• Oversee mechanical works on-site to ensure compliance with approved standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct inspections and testing of mechanical systems and components.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress updates.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure mechanical works are completed on schedule.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Support procurement team with technical specifications and material selection.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Engineering & Construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Experience in site supervision and project coordination.
• Familiarity with quality control and safety standards.
• Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must be available to start immediately.
