Civil Engineer

Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support Engineering & Construction projects in Dar es Salaam. The role involves planning, designing, and supervising civil works, including infrastructure, structural projects, and site development, while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience and be ready to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and supervise construction of civil structures and infrastructure.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project plans.
• Oversee civil works on-site to ensure compliance with approved standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and quality control of civil works.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress updates.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor project timelines and ensure civil works are completed on schedule.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.
• Support procurement team with technical specifications and material selection.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Engineering & Construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering design, construction methods, and infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Experience in site supervision and project coordination.
• Familiarity with quality control and safety standards.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Must be available to start immediately.
