Job Summary
CNS Group is seeking experienced Filter Press Operators for a mining project in Madagascar. The role is responsible for operating and monitoring filter press equipment within the mineral processing plant to ensure efficient slurry dewatering, safe operations, and continuous plant performance. The ideal candidates should possess operational knowledge of filter press systems, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work in demanding mining environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor filter press equipment during mineral processing operations.
- Ensure proper slurry feeding, filtration, and dewatering processes.
- Monitor pressure, flow rates, and operational parameters to maintain efficiency.
- Inspect filter press equipment and report any operational issues or abnormalities.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of filter press systems.
- Coordinate with plant operators and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
- Maintain operational records and shift reports accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Support shutdown and maintenance activities when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the operational area.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or technical training in plant operations, mineral processing, mechanical operations, or related field is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience operating filter press equipment or similar plant machinery in mining or industrial environments.
- Basic understanding of mineral processing and slurry dewatering systems.
- Ability to monitor operational parameters and identify process deviations.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to operational procedures.
- Ability to work in remote and demanding site conditions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, disciplined, and detail-oriented attitude.
- French or English communication is required.
- Willingness to relocate and work in Madagascar.
