Job Summary
CNS Group is seeking an experienced Metallurgist for a mining project in Madagascar. The role is responsible for monitoring and optimizing mineral processing operations, metallurgical performance, recovery efficiency, and plant operational processes to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of gold processing operations, metallurgical analysis, and process optimization within mining environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize metallurgical and mineral processing operations.
- Analyze plant performance, recovery rates, and operational efficiency.
- Support optimization of gold processing circuits including CIL/CIP operations.
- Conduct metallurgical test work, process analysis, and operational reporting.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to maximize production and recovery.
- Work closely with operations, laboratory, and maintenance teams.
- Monitor reagent consumption and process control parameters.
- Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and environmental standards.
- Prepare metallurgical reports and performance analysis updates.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of plant operational challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in metallurgical or mineral processing operations.
- Experience in gold processing operations, including CIL/CIP systems, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of metallurgical processes and plant optimization.
- Mining experience is preferred, but related industrial processing experience may be considered.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good operational coordination and teamwork abilities.
- Strong safety awareness and process compliance knowledge.
- French or English communication is required.
- Willingness to relocate and work in Madagascar.
