Job Summary
CNS Group is seeking experienced and customer-focused Front Office Supervisors for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for supervising front office operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, coordinating reception activities, and maintaining professional hospitality service standards within the hotel environment. The ideal candidates should possess strong leadership abilities, guest relations experience, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily Front Office operations including reception, reservations, guest check-in, and check-out procedures.
- Coordinate and guide Front Office Agents during shifts to ensure efficient guest handling and exceptional hospitality service standards.
- Monitor room availability, reservations, occupancy levels, VIP arrivals, and special guest requests to support smooth hotel operations.
- Handle guest complaints, service recovery situations, and operational issues professionally while ensuring prompt resolution.
- Ensure accurate guest registration, billing, payment processing, and documentation procedures are followed consistently.
- Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Concierge, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Conduct daily shift briefings and communicate operational updates, room statuses, arrivals, departures, and hotel activities.
- Support training, coaching, scheduling, and performance monitoring of Front Office staff members.
- Monitor PMS system operations, reservation accuracy, and guest profile management to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure Front Office areas, reception desks, and lobby presentation standards are maintained professionally at all times.
- Prepare operational reports, cash reconciliation records, and shift handover updates when required.
- Ensure compliance with hotel operational policies, guest service procedures, and hospitality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in front office or reception operations within hotels or hospitality environments.
- Previous supervisory experience in front office operations is preferred.
- Experience in luxury hotel operations is an added advantage.
- Strong guest service and customer relationship management skills.
- Good leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Proficiency in English communication is required.
- Experience in reservations is required.
- Proficiency in PMS systems such as Opera Cloud, or similar hotel management systems is required.
- Candidates from the National College of Tourism (NCT) and other hospitality colleges or institutes are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates who are proficient in more than one language (multilingual) will have an added advantage.
