Job Summary
CNS Group is seeking an experienced and highly professional Head Butler for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for leading the butler service team, ensuring personalized guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of luxury guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Butler team to ensure delivery of exceptional personalized luxury guest experiences throughout the guest stay.
- Coordinate daily Butler operations, including guest preferences, VIP arrivals, room preparations, transportation arrangements, and special requests.
- Ensure all suites, villas, and VIP accommodations are prepared according to guest profiles and luxury hospitality standards before arrival.
- Handle high-profile guests, VIPs, and special occasions with professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Coordinate closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Concierge teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Monitor Butler service standards and conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency in service delivery.
- Train, mentor, and guide Butler staff on luxury service etiquette, guest engagement, grooming, and SOP compliance.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, complaints, and service recovery situations to maintain guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate guest preference records and ensure personalized services are consistently delivered for returning guests.
- Prepare duty schedules, operational reports, and Butler performance updates for management review.
- Ensure all Butler areas, equipment, and service materials are maintained in excellent condition.
- Support management in improving guest experience initiatives and luxury hospitality service standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in luxury hospitality, including butler service.
- Experience in Front Office operations is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in English communication is required.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and service excellence.
- Ability to handle VIP guests and high-pressure situations.
- Professional appearance and presentation.
- Candidates from the National College of Tourism (NCT) and other hospitality colleges or institutes are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates who are proficient in more than one language (multilingual) will have an added advantage.
