Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer manages the installation and commissioning of all mechanical systems and components within the 20MW solar project. This includes racking systems, trackers, and associated assemblies to ensure reliable performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee installation of solar mounting structures, trackers, and module supports.
- Verify mechanical alignment, torqueing, and assembly tolerances.
- Supervise lifting operations, rigging, and mechanical equipment handling on site.
- Ensure all mechanical systems are installed safely and efficiently according to project standards.
- Conduct quality checks and verify mechanical completion of works.
- Coordinate with civil and electrical teams to ensure proper system integration.
- Resolve mechanical issues encountered during installation and provide engineering solutions.
- Manage documentation of as-built drawings, test reports, and commissioning records.
- Support final testing and handover of mechanical systems to the commissioning team.
- Promote safety awareness and compliance among mechanical installation crews.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience in utility-scale solar or power plant mechanical works.
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, racking systems, and trackers.
- Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
