Job Summary:

The Pipe Fitter will be responsible for the measurement, assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of pipes, fittings, and valves forming part of the irrigation conveyance and distribution network. The role will support the development and ongoing maintenance of the irrigation pipe network while ensuring installations meet required design specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install pipes, fittings, and valves for the irrigation conveyance and distribution network.
  • Read and interpret piping layout drawings and schematics to ensure correct installation.
  • Work with the High-Pressure Welder on pipeline sections requiring welded joints.
  • Pressure-test installed pipework for leaks and carry out repairs as needed.
  • Support routine maintenance and expansion of the pipe network as the irrigation system develops.
  • Ensure pipework installations comply with design specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Trade Certificate in Pipefitting/Plumbing or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of pipefitting experience on water-supply or irrigation systems.
  • Practical pipefitting experience across different pipe materials, including steel, HDPE, and PVC as applicable.
  • Ability to read and interpret piping layouts, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in pressure testing of installed pipework.
