Massey Ferguson Tractor Operator

Job Summary:

The Massey Ferguson Tractor Operator will operate tractors and associated agricultural implements for cultivation, land preparation, transportation, and general field operations. The role will ensure assigned machinery is operated safely, efficiently, and maintained in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Massey Ferguson tractors for ploughing, harrowing, cultivation, transportation, and other assigned agricultural activities.
• Attach, adjust, and operate appropriate farm implements safely.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and check fluids, tyres, brakes, hydraulics, and other critical systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify unusual operating conditions or mechanical problems.
• Carry out basic operator-level servicing, cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
• Report equipment faults and maintenance requirements to the Workshop Supervisor.
• Maintain daily records of operating hours, fuel consumption, and assigned activities.
• Follow farm operating procedures and all applicable equipment safety requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certificate or recognized vocational/agricultural machinery operator training is preferred.
• Valid relevant tractor/operator licence or certification where applicable.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience operating agricultural tractors, preferably in commercial farming operations.
• Practical knowledge of tractor-mounted and tractor-drawn agricultural implements.
• Basic knowledge of tractor engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and routine maintenance.
• Ability to safely attach and operate farm implements.
• Strong safety awareness, discipline, and ability to work independently in field conditions.
• Previous experience operating Massey Ferguson tractors will be an added advantage.
