Fleet Supervisor

Job Summary

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily fleet operations to ensure vehicles are efficiently utilized, well maintained, and compliant with company policies and road safety regulations. The role focuses on fleet availability, driver supervision, cost control, and operational efficiency within the logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day fleet operations and ensure optimal vehicle utilization.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, servicing, and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with drivers to ensure adherence to routes, schedules, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate fleet records, including fuel consumption, maintenance, and mileage.
• Monitor driver performance, compliance, and conduct, addressing issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, company policies, and insurance requirements.
• Identify and report mechanical issues and operational risks to management.
• Support cost control initiatives related to fuel, maintenance, and fleet operations.
• Prepare routine fleet performance and utilization reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Fleet Management, or a related field.
• 2–3 years experience in a fleet or logistics operations role.
• Experience in the logistics industry is required.
• Strong coordination, supervision, and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic computer skills and experience with fleet tracking or reporting systems is an added advantage.
