Job Summary

The Plumbing Technician (Grade 4–6) is responsible for carrying out installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems to support the organizations operational and maintenance requirements. The role requires hands-on technical competence, teamwork, accountability, and reliable execution of assigned duties in line with approved standards and agreed work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, panels, and equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical faults and perform corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with safety standards, regulations, and approved specifications.
  • Support routine and emergency electrical maintenance activities across facilities and operations.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and other technicians to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain electrical tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
  • Report faults, material requirements, and completed works accurately and on time.
  • Follow workplace safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out practices, and operational guidelines.
  • Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and professionalism in the execution of duties.

Qualifications

  • Trade Certificate or Vocational Training in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering (Grade 4–6 or equivalent).
  • Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience as an Electrical Technician.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read basic electrical drawings and follow technical instructions.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • High level of accountability, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours or respond to emergency maintenance requirements.
