Fleet Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Fleet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the company's vehicle operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations. This role involves managing fleet performance, coordinating maintenance, supervising drivers, and optimizing transportation processes to support organizational and client needs.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Fleet Operations & Coordination

• Supervise daily fleet activities, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching vehicles.
• Ensure proper utilization of vehicles to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and fleet performance metrics.

Maintenance & Compliance

• Coordinate regular vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle licenses, insurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Enforce adherence to safety standards, traffic laws, and company policies.

Driver Supervision & Performance

• Supervise, train and evaluate drivers to ensure professionalism and adherence to safety rules.
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and customer service among drivers.

Reporting & Process Improvement

• Prepare fleet performance reports, including costs, downtime, and utilization.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce transportation risks.
• Recommend and implement fleet management systems or technology solutions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years experience in fleet or transport supervision.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport regulations, and road safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management systems, GPS tracking, and MS Office.
• Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours as required.
