Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking professional and customer-oriented Front Office Agents for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for managing guest check-in and check-out, handling reservations, and delivering a seamless and welcoming guest experience. The ideal candidates should be well-presented, organized, and able to handle guest interactions with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests professionally and manage smooth check-in and check-out procedures according to hotel standards.
  • Handle room reservations, guest inquiries, bookings, cancellations, and amendments accurately using hotel reservation systems.
  • Provide guests with accurate information regarding hotel services, facilities, promotions, and local attractions.
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles, billing records, payment processing, and operational documentation within PMS systems.
  • Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Concierge, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and service recovery situations professionally and escalate operational concerns when necessary.
  • Monitor room availability, occupancy updates, VIP arrivals, and special requests during operational shifts.
  • Ensure Front Office, lobby, and reception areas remain clean, organized, and professionally presented at all times.
  • Process cash, card payments, foreign exchange transactions, and billing adjustments accurately according to hotel procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and ensure compliance with hotel privacy and security policies.
  • Support telephone operations, email communication, and reservation correspondence professionally.
  • Maintain professional grooming, communication, and customer service standards throughout all guest interactions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in front office or guest service roles (luxury hotel preferred).
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Good knowledge of reservation systems and front office operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Candidates from the National College of Tourism (NCT) and other hospitality colleges or institutes are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates who are proficient in more than one language (multilingual) will have an added advantage.
  • Experience in reservations is an added advantage.
  • Experience using PMS systems such as Opera Cloud, or similar hotel management systems is an added advantage.
