Sonalika Tractor Operator

Job Summary:

The Sonalika Tractor Operator will safely operate Sonalika tractors and agricultural implements to support cultivation, land preparation, transportation, and general farm operations. The role will focus on productive field operation, equipment safety, and proper daily tractor care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Sonalika tractors for cultivation, ploughing, harrowing, transportation, and other assigned farm activities.
• Connect, adjust, and operate compatible agricultural implements.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections of fluids, tyres, brakes, hydraulic systems, and other tractor components.
• Monitor equipment performance and immediately report identified faults or abnormal conditions.
• Carry out basic operator maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, and routine checks.
• Operate tractors according to assigned field patterns, schedules, and supervisor instructions.
• Maintain operating-hour, fuel-use, and basic equipment-condition records.
• Follow established agricultural machinery and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certificate or recognized vocational/agricultural machinery operator training is preferred.
• Valid relevant tractor/operator licence or certification where applicable.
• Minimum 2–3 years of practical tractor operating experience, preferably within commercial agriculture.
• Good knowledge of tractor operation and common agricultural implements.
• Basic understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and routine tractor maintenance.
• Ability to identify and report basic mechanical problems.
• Good safety awareness, reliability, and ability to work effectively in field conditions.
• Previous experience operating Sonalika tractors will be an added advantage.
