Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

The Civil Engineer oversees all civil works for the 20MW solar installation project, ensuring that foundations, structures, and site works are designed, built, and delivered according to technical and safety standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Plan, and supervise all civil engineering activities Review drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs for accuracy and compliance.​ 
• Supervise excavation, concrete pouring, and structural foundation works.​ verify supplied concrete.​ 
• Ensure civil works are executed within schedule Strong communication, reporting, and leadership skills.

• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to coordinate multidisciplinary works.​ 
• Manage subcontractors and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards.​ 
• Conduct inspections and verify that construction materials meet quality and design criteria.​ 
• Prepare progress reports, test results, and documentation for project handover.​ 
• Support HSE initiatives by enforcing safe work practices during civil construction activities. 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.​ 
• Minimum 5 years experience in large-scale infrastructure or solar energy projects.​ 
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural design software.​ 
• Excellent project supervision, coordination, and reporting skills. 
• Preference given to Tanzanian candidates
