Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking professional and courteous Doormen / Door Attendants for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for welcoming guests, assisting with arrivals and departures, and creating a strong first impression through exceptional service and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and departure while creating a positive and professional first impression of the hotel.
  • Assist guests with luggage handling, transportation coordination, and directions to reception, rooms, or hotel facilities.
  • Open vehicle and hotel entrance doors courteously while maintaining smooth guest traffic flow at the main entrance.
  • Coordinate closely with Concierge, Front Office, Security, and Valet teams to ensure seamless guest movement and arrival experiences.
  • Provide accurate information regarding hotel services, facilities, local attractions, and transportation options when required.
  • Monitor cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards of the hotel entrance, driveway, and lobby access areas.
  • Support VIP guest arrivals, group check-ins, and special events with professional hospitality service.
  • Observe and report suspicious activities, security concerns, or operational incidents to relevant departments promptly.
  • Assist with guest transportation arrangements including taxis, airport transfers, and luggage loading when required.
  • Ensure guest requests and inquiries are handled professionally and escalated appropriately when necessary.
  • Maintain professional appearance, grooming, and hospitality etiquette standards at all times.
  • Support crowd management and guest flow during busy operational periods or events.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hospitality or customer service roles.
  • Proficiency in English communication is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and well-presented.
  • Ability to stand for long hours and work flexible shifts.
  • Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
  • Candidates from the National College of Tourism (NCT) and other hospitality colleges or institutes are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates who are proficient in more than one language (multilingual) will have an added advantage.
