Water Bowser Operator

Job Summary:

The Water Bowser Operator will safely operate a water bowser to transport and distribute water for road maintenance, dust suppression, construction, irrigation support, and other operational requirements across the agribusiness estate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the water bowser to transport and distribute water to designated project and field locations.
• Supply water for roadworks, dust suppression, construction, irrigation support, and other approved activities.
• Safely operate water pumps, valves, hoses, spray bars, and related bowser equipment.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections of the vehicle, tyres, brakes, fluids, water tank, pumps, and dispensing systems.
• Ensure safe filling, transportation, and discharge of water.
• Coordinate with supervisors and field teams regarding water-delivery requirements.
• Maintain trip, vehicle-hour, fuel, and water-delivery records as required.
• Report vehicle, pump, tank, or dispensing-system defects promptly and follow all site safety requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Form Four education or equivalent.
• Valid Tanzanian driving licence appropriate for heavy commercial/water bowser operation.
• Minimum 3 years of professional heavy-vehicle driving experience, preferably operating water bowsers, tankers, or similar vehicles.
• Practical knowledge of water pumps, valves, hoses, and basic bowser operating systems.
• Good understanding of safe tanker driving and water-distribution procedures.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and routine operator maintenance.
• Ability to operate safely on farm roads, construction areas, and varying terrain.
• Good discipline, reliability, safety awareness, and ability to follow operational instructions.
