Job Summary:

The Front Loader Operator will safely operate front loaders for loading, moving, stockpiling, and handling soil, aggregates, agricultural materials, and other project materials. The role will support efficient estate operations while ensuring proper equipment care and safe material handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate front loaders to load, move, stockpile, and distribute soil, aggregates, and other materials.
  • Load trucks and other transport equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Support land-development, road construction, workshop, and agricultural field activities as required.
  • Carry out daily pre-start inspections and identify visible defects or abnormal operating conditions.
  • Perform basic operator-level maintenance, including checking fluids, tyres, hydraulic systems, and lubrication points.
  • Ensure loads remain within safe machine operating capacities.
  • Coordinate with truck drivers, ground personnel, and supervisors during loading operations.
  • Maintain daily machine-hour records and promptly report mechanical or operational faults.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Certificate or recognized vocational/heavy-equipment operator training in Front Loader/Wheel Loader Operations or a related field.
  • Valid relevant machinery/operator licence or certification where applicable.
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience operating front loaders or similar heavy equipment.
  • Practical experience in loading, stockpiling, material handling, and earthmoving activities.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, tyres, loader attachments, and routine operator maintenance.
  • Good awareness of machine load capacity and safe loading procedures.
  • Strong safety awareness, coordination, and equipment-handling skills.
  • Experience in agriculture, construction, mining, or large-scale land-development operations will be an added advantage.
