Job Summary:
To attract, source, assess, and onboard high-quality talent for logistics operations, including transport, warehousing, freight management, customs clearance, supply chain coordination, and fleet operations. The Recruitment Officer ensures timely hiring that supports operational efficiency and business growth.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
1. Talent Sourcing & Attraction
- Identify staffing needs across logistics departments (transport, warehouse, distribution, tracking, fleet management, customs, etc.).
- Source candidates through online platforms, industry networks, referrals, and partnerships with training institutions.
- Create job postings tailored to the logistics market and ensure they reach qualified talent.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of drivers, dispatchers, warehouse staff, fleet supervisors, mechanics, and back-office logistics talent.
2. Screening & Selection
- Review applications and shortlist candidates based on qualifications and logistics experience.
- Conduct interviews focused on technical skills (route planning, inventory handling, equipment operation, safety compliance, etc.) and behavioral competencies.
- Administer assessments for roles such as drivers road tests, warehouse practical tests, and logistics systems proficiency tests.
- Coordinate interviews with department heads and ensure smooth selection processes.
3. Compliance & Documentation
- Verify candidate documentation (licenses, permits, certifications such as forklift operation, defensive driving, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with company hiring policies, labor laws, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and weekly hiring reports.
4. Onboarding & Integration
- Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documents.
- Conduct orientation for new hires, ensuring understanding of logistics processes, safety procedures, and company expectations.
- Coordinate induction with transport, warehouse, or operations managers.
5. Workforce Planning
- Support development of annual manpower plans for peak seasons, new routes, and warehouse expansions.
- Forecast staffing needs based on turnover, operational demand, and project timelines.
6. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with HR, Transport Managers, Warehouse Managers, and Operations Directors to understand precise role requirements.
- Partner with external agencies to fill urgent or niche logistics roles.
7. Employer Branding & Talent Engagement
- Support employer branding initiatives targeting logistics talent (drivers, warehouse workers, operations staff).
- Represent the company at career fairs, training centers, and logistics associations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in recruitment, preferably within logistics, transport, FMCG, or supply chain industries.
- Strong understanding of logistics roles, operational workflows, and industry-specific competencies.
- Ability to assess technical skills (e.g., driving categories, warehouse equipment, tracking systems).
- Knowledge of labor laws and safety compliance.
