Job Summary:
The HSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and programs on renewable energy projects. This role ensures compliance with local and international HSE regulations, fosters a proactive safety culture, and manages all environmental and safety risks associated with project execution, including wind, solar, and hydro energy installations.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with local laws, ISO standards, and renewable energy best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, HSE audits, inspections, and incident investigations across renewable energy sites.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and corporate HSE requirements, including renewable energy-specific safety standards.
- Lead HSE training and awareness programs for all project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Oversee the reporting of incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE requirements into project planning, execution, and commissioning.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and environmental stewardship across all operations.
- Liaise with regulators, clients, and third-party auditors on HSE matters.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must have a technical degree plus international HSE degree/diploma
- Minimum of five (5) years as HSE professional in solar projects and/or having equivalent experience in power plants of similar technology or similar mega infra works.
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, renewable energy standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and lead a team of HSE professionals.
