Job Summary
CNS Group is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisors for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring high cleanliness standards, monitoring guest room presentation, and supporting smooth daily housekeeping operations within a professional hospitality environment. The ideal candidates should possess strong leadership abilities, organizational skills, and experience in hotel housekeeping operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assign daily duties to Housekeeping Attendants, ensuring they are equipped with necessary resources such as keys, linen, guest supplies, and cleaning materials.
- Supervise housekeeping operations across guest rooms, villas, corridors, and public areas to maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Conduct detailed room inspections to ensure compliance with hotel quality assurance procedures and luxury hospitality standards.
- Monitor room statuses including VIP, DND, Vacant Clean, and Out of Order rooms while coordinating closely with Front Office for smooth room availability updates.
- Handle guest housekeeping requests, complaints, and service recovery situations professionally to maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
- Ensure damaged items, maintenance issues, and technical faults are reported promptly to the Engineering Department and followed up effectively.
- Monitor linen inventory, guest amenities, cleaning supplies, and operational materials to support uninterrupted housekeeping operations.
- Support training, coaching, and performance monitoring of Housekeeping Attendants on SOPs, hygiene standards, and service excellence.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of lost and found items according to hotel operational procedures.
- Monitor staff attendance, grooming, productivity, and discipline while maintaining operational efficiency during shifts.
- Prepare housekeeping reports, inspection records, and shift handover updates for management review.
- Ensure compliance with hotel hygiene, health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or related field is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in housekeeping operations within hotels or hospitality environments.
- Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping is preferred.
- Experience in luxury hotel operations is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping procedures and cleanliness standards.
- Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional attitude and guest service orientation.
- Proficiency in English communication is required.
- Candidates from the National College of Tourism (NCT) and other hospitality colleges or institutes are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates who are proficient in more than one language (multilingual) will have an added advantage.
