Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking professional and customer-focused Waiters / Servers for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining exceptional dining standards. The ideal candidates should be attentive, well-presented, and committed to delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional food and beverage service in accordance with hotel luxury hospitality and restaurant service standards.
  • Prepare restaurant tables, dining areas, buffet setups, and service stations before operational periods begin.
  • Welcome guests warmly, present menus, explain specials, and provide accurate recommendations on food and beverage selections.
  • Take guest orders accurately and communicate them efficiently to kitchen and bar teams using operational systems and procedures.
  • Serve food and beverages professionally while ensuring proper presentation, timing, and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor guest dining experiences continuously and respond promptly to additional requests, complaints, or special dietary requirements.
  • Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset efficiently to maintain restaurant cleanliness and operational flow.
  • Coordinate closely with supervisors, bartenders, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service during busy operational periods.
  • Handle billing, payment processing, and guest checks accurately according to hotel financial procedures.
  • Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards within dining and service areas at all times.
  • Support banquet, private dining, outdoor events, and special hospitality functions when required.
  • Maintain professional grooming, communication, and customer service standards consistently.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in food and beverage service (luxury hotel or restaurant preferred).
  • Proficiency in English communication is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Candidates from the National College of Tourism (NCT) and other hospitality colleges or institutes are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates who are proficient in more than one language (multilingual) will have an added advantage.
