Job Summary
CNS Group is seeking professional and customer-focused Waiters / Servers for a luxury hotel in Zanzibar. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining exceptional dining standards. The ideal candidates should be attentive, well-presented, and committed to delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional food and beverage service in accordance with hotel luxury hospitality and restaurant service standards.
- Prepare restaurant tables, dining areas, buffet setups, and service stations before operational periods begin.
- Welcome guests warmly, present menus, explain specials, and provide accurate recommendations on food and beverage selections.
- Take guest orders accurately and communicate them efficiently to kitchen and bar teams using operational systems and procedures.
- Serve food and beverages professionally while ensuring proper presentation, timing, and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor guest dining experiences continuously and respond promptly to additional requests, complaints, or special dietary requirements.
- Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset efficiently to maintain restaurant cleanliness and operational flow.
- Coordinate closely with supervisors, bartenders, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service during busy operational periods.
- Handle billing, payment processing, and guest checks accurately according to hotel financial procedures.
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards within dining and service areas at all times.
- Support banquet, private dining, outdoor events, and special hospitality functions when required.
- Maintain professional grooming, communication, and customer service standards consistently.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in food and beverage service (luxury hotel or restaurant preferred).
- Proficiency in English communication is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Candidates from the National College of Tourism (NCT) and other hospitality colleges or institutes are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates who are proficient in more than one language (multilingual) will have an added advantage.
