Job Responsibilities

Business Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand business objectives, product requirements, and system limitations.
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend business process and system improvements.
  • Evaluate business requirements and propose effective technology solutions.

System Implementation

  • Support implementation and configuration of insurance products within the core insurance system.
  • Coordinate with developers, QA teams, and business users to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Participate in system integration, product setup, data migration, validation, and deployment activities.
  • Ensure new system enhancements are properly tested before production release.

Testing & User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Prepare and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Coordinate testing activities, validate business requirements, and manage issue resolution.
  • Work closely with QA teams to ensure successful delivery of system enhancements.

Stakeholder & Project Support

  • Serve as the liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate requirement gathering sessions, walkthroughs, user training, and knowledge transfer.
  • Support project planning, implementation timelines, and post-production activities.
  • Monitor production issues and recommend continuous improvements.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional documentation, workflows, and system documentation.
  • Produce project status reports and maintain version-controlled documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, regulatory, and audit requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience, preferably within insurance or financial services.
  • Strong experience in:
    • Requirements elicitation and analysis
    • Business process analysis
    • Stakeholder management
    • Business documentation (BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria)
    • System implementation and enhancement projects
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Experience collaborating with business users, developers, QA teams, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using:
    • Jira
    • Confluence
    • Microsoft Visio
    • Power BI (or similar reporting tools)

Preferred

  • Experience implementing or supporting enterprise/core insurance systems (e.g., Guidewire, LifeAsia, TCS BaNCS, Oracle Insurance, or similar).
  • Knowledge of insurance processes such as policy administration, underwriting, claims, and billing.
  • Experience with API integrations, SQL, data analysis, testing coordination, or system migration.
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
