Accounting and Reporting

  • Reviews and validates the accuracy and reasonableness of accounting entries prepared by the third-party outsourcing partner, including transactions such as securities trading, fixed income maturities and coupon payments, portfolio valuation and mark-to-market adjustments, as well as income and fee accruals.
  • Prepares regulatory reports in compliance with applicable laws, standards, and reporting requirements for fiduciary and trust operations.
  • Generates monthly, quarterly, and annual fiduciary financial statements.
  • Prepares client reports, including the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Investment Activity Report, Return on Investment Report, and Schedule of Earning Assets/Investments, ensuring the accuracy of account balances, asset valuations, and all reports issued to clients.
  • Handles preparation of tax schedules, certificates, and billing invoices for clients.
  • Creates and posts journal entries and necessary adjustments for client accounts.
  • Prepares audited schedules and financial statements of managed fund accounts in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Validates the accuracy of mark-to-market valuations provided by the outsourcing partner.
  • Reviews and computes management and trust fees due from clients, prepares billing statements and official receipts, and monitors collections.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in audit firm and/or financial statements preparation of a financial institution preferably in a trust corporation.
  • Knowledge and expertise in various accounting standards such as PFRS and Local Statutory Requirements.
  • Knowledge and expertise in handling financial derivatives. Knowledge in laws and regulations governing trust corporations.
  • Able to timely meet internal and/or external deadlines
  • Basic organizational skills (planning, time management and priority management)
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to handle complex problems related to financial accounting and reporting.
  • Must be able to provide solutions for other operations related issues such as trade processing, portfolio valuation and accounting.
