A leading insurance company is looking for a Finance Specialist to primarily focus on supporting regional entities' financial and group reporting and staff expense reimbursement processes. This role ensures the integrity of financial close and group reporting submissions while driving robust governance over daily finance operations, expense management, and period-end schedules. The position also supports strategic finance initiatives, external audits, tax filings, and process acceleration to optimize accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily finance operations (such as expense tracking, expense approvals, journal entries posting, payments processing etc.), reconciliations, and period-end reporting in accordance with the reporting timeline set by regional finance teams.
  • Prepare reporting schedules for the Group's consolidation.
  • Support invoicing and monitoring of settlements of intercompany related services.
  • Support operating expense monitoring process (including accruals, settlement and utilization of budget).
  • Liaise with external auditors or tax advisors for the annual audit and tax filings.
  • Support ad hoc management reporting and development of new initiatives which may require technical accounting research.
  • Coordinate with regional finance and other relevant functions to deliver the objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent; Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 5 years of experience in financial services industry preferably in asset and wealth management sector.
  • Solid accounting and financial reporting knowledge; investment accounting experience is an advantage.
  • Preferably has knowledge on the operations of accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion).
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with regional finance teams.
  • Capable of multitasking and working in cultural environment.

Work Setup: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)

Schedule: Day Shift, Monday to Friday

Location: Taguig City
