Revenue Management Analyst / Financial Analyst

Reports to: Revenue Management Administration Supervisor

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

This position is part of the Revenue Management team in the Global Business Services (GBS). The essential job functions include preparing data packs for payment analysis, supporting payer parity analysis, analyzing revenue trends, managing intramonth projections, organizing service line analytics, maintaining databases, and modeling proposals during managed care negotiations.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare data packs for expected payment to actual analysis by gathering and organizing relevant data.
  • Prepare payer parity analysis by compiling internal and external preliminary reports based on collected data.
  • Prepare monthly gross and net revenue trend analytics by collecting data and preparing trend reports for the Manager's review.
  • Prepare intramonth revenue projections by gathering data and providing support in the analysis of revenue trends.
  • Prepare service line and payor analytics by organizing data and preparing analytical reports for management.
  • Maintain databases (i.e., data transfer) by ensuring data accuracy and assisting in the transfer of data between systems.
  • Develop proposal modeling to support managed care negotiations by preparing data and preliminary analyses.
  • Develop initial models to inform managed care negotiations by gathering data and providing key insights to negotiating team.

Education

Bachelors degree in relates field such as finance, accounting, economics, data analytics, health administration, business administration. (required)

Masters degree MBA, MHA, or Master of Science in Analytics or Healthcare Informatics. (preferred)

Work Experience

2 years experience in analytics and/or reporting using large data sets (required)

2 years experience in analytics and/or reporting in a healthcare setting (preferred)

SKILLS

  • Must have knowledge regarding analytical tools and techniques.
  • Intermediate to expert Excel knowledge required, especially around data manipulation and analysis.
  • Work requires a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and execute applicable company's policies and procedures.
  • Ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of patients, as well as the confidentiality of hospital and departmental documents.
  • Understanding of healthcare reimbursement and payer contracts
  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft 365 tools other standard office equipment.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Tableau, and Power BI tools
  • Must exhibit a positive demeanor, good verbal and written communication skills, and maintain professionalism in both appearance and approach.
  • Ability to handle potentially stressful situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle operations.
  • Familiarity with Epic Clarity Report Write and Kodiak RCA

Work Set-up

Shift: Night Shift

Location: Park Triangle Corporate Centre, BGC

Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days RTO & 2 days WFH per week)
