Role Overview:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Artwork Planning Lead to lead and oversee the end to-end management of packaging artwork projects in our Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company. 
  • This role is pivotal in ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality artwork, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives
  • With over 12 years of experience and a strong background in project management, this individual will lead cross functional meetings to align priorities, allocate resources effectively, and enhance artwork management efficiency. 
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing artwork development and the production process within a CPG company or a related industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing end-to-end project management of packaging artwork delivery, continuously driving packaging artwork excellence
  • Lead and oversee the multiple packaging artwork projects from design through to print package.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (marketing, design, R&D, regulatory, supply chain) and external stakeholders (agencies, printers, suppliers).
  • Sets agenda and clearly defines cross-functional responsibilities from project start to completion.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of project progress using project management tools and spreadsheets. 
  • This includes tracking milestones, deliverables, and any deviations from the original plan.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, or delays in the artwork development process and implement solutions mitigate them.
  • Compile regular artwork project reports that highlight progress, challenges, and solutions. Communicate these findings to senior Artwork Planning Leads and cross-functional teams to keep everyone informed and engaged

  • Manage feedback loops, consolidating inputs to minimize iterations and maintain efficiency.
  • Act as a mentor/coach for associate artwork project managers and project coordinators.
  • Plan and lead pre-production meetings
  • Rate card and cost estimate requests / updates
  • Escalations and incidents: Raise, evaluating, solutioning, manage to closure
  • Perform some tasks in AW tool
  • Identify project complexity and determine stakeholder involvement

Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in marketing, design, project management, or a related field.
-Proficient in Mandarin C1/B2 Level (Intermediate to advance)
-Proven experience in managing end-to-end process of artwork, printing and digital assets creation in a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) environment
-Solid experience in artwork management and packaging within a CPG or --FMCG environment with 6 years of experience leading a team.
-Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment across multiple functions (marketing, R&D, sourcing, design external agencies and operations)
-Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, Monday.com, or Jira is crucial for tracking tasks, deadlines, and progress.
-Familiarity in artwork and design software is beneficial; while direct design involvement is not required, a basic understanding of platforms like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) can enhance communication with creative teams.
-Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
-Highly collaborative, with strong experience working with Global & Local stakeholders
-Possess functional knowledge of marketing, branding and new product development
