Job Description:

The Credit Manager is primarily responsible in managing a team of Credit Analysts, ensures that they adhere to SOP and Credit policies and help contribute to their individual growth to be potential leaders in the future.

Responsibilities:

Credit Operations

  • Ensures defined targets are met by the team (TAT, Errors, Processed Applications, Approval Rate)
  • Decides on applications within the appropriate Delegation of Authority.

People Management

  • Develops and manages a skilled and effective workforce composed Credit Analysts geared and committed to maintaining a sound portfolio that will ultimately contribute in the achievement of the goals of the loans business of the bank.

Asset Quality

  • Ensures effective implementation of credit policies and guidelines
  • Provides relevant inputs on portfolio management to achieve satisfactory asset quality while maintaining Non-Performing Loans at acceptable level

Compliance

  • Monitors and manages Credit systems and processes to ensure that all operational procedures are conducted in accordance with external regulations as well as with internal audit requirements.

Customer Service

  • Ensures delivery of the required services of the clients within the set turn-around time and accuracy without prejudicing the interest of the Bank
  • Manages and liaises with external service providers as directed

Adhoc

  • Generates reports as needed.
  • Undertakes any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time

Managament

  • Supports the CEO and senior stakeholders to achieve CIMBs overall business and strategic objectives.
  • Responsible for creating the department/unit/teams vision, culture and performance standards as well as overseeing its adoption in all levels of the department/unit/team.
  • Builds teams with a shared purpose - attracting, developing, engaging and retaining employees allowing them to realize their full potential and the organization to meet its current business needs and prepare for future needs.
  • Role models and drives activities to encourage and build the desired organizational culture, values and reputation in CIMB and with all employees, customers and regulatory/official agencies.
  • Leads the team in delivering high quality service within a culture of customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures suitable metrics are in place to measure performance and progress of the business and employees.
  • Establishes KPIs and reviews overall performance against targets, assesses effectiveness of strategies and makes necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Builds and sustains capabilities to achieve both people and organization objectives.
  • Ensures leadership and business continuity in all key/critical positions in the organization by actively developing identified potential successors.
  • Advocates a positive team environment through teamwork, coaching and mentoring.
  • Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree relevant to the job
  • MBA a plus
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in unsecured lending or related discipline
  • Credit Underwriting
  • Consumer Lending
  • He/she must be a member of good standing in the relevant industry, business or professional organization.
  • Proven ability to establish internal and external relationships across all levels

Work Setup:

Setup: Hybrid (3X onsite per week)
