Summary:

A leading commercial banking group is looking for a Banking Business Officer to oversee day-to-day branch operations and ensure high-quality customer service and regulatory compliance. This role involves supervising tellers, handling complex financial transactions, ensuring accurate records, and supporting branch-level customer and compliance processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Head of Banking Business, the Banking Business Officer is responsible for managing daily branch operations and frontline service delivery.
  • Ensures accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check encashments, fund transfers, and account openings/closures.
  • Acts as system authorizer and verifies teller transactions for accuracy and compliance with internal policies and BSP regulations.
  • Reviews and approves account opening documents and performs customer due diligence and risk classification in line with AML/CFT policies.
  • Oversees the branchs cash management, vault custody, ATM reconciliation, and Safe Deposit Box (SDB) access and rentals.
  • Conducts daily cash balancing and assists in coordinating with depository banks for cash replenishment.
  • Guides and mentors tellers and other branch personnel to maintain high service standards and operational discipline.
  • Handles reporting for both internal management and external regulators.
  • Ensures safekeeping and scanning of transaction records and client information for audit purposes.
  • Supports training of new frontline staff and leads efforts to maintain service excellence in customer interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in any 4-year course
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in banking operations, particularly in branch or frontline functions
  • Strong working knowledge of BSP regulations and banking compliance requirements
  • Effective communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Proven leadership and staff management capabilities
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on operational accuracy and risk management

Work Setup: Full on-site, Monday-Friday

Schedule: Day shift, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
