Procurement Officer

Job Description:

The Procurement Officer focuses on executing day-to-day procurement tasks, and provides tactical assistance to the Head of Procurement and Procurement Manager. This role involves implementing strategies and directives set by Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end sourcing process for non-IT requirements, as follows:

o Defining business requirements

o Identifying potential suppliers

o Conducting onboarding due diligence

o Running RFQs and receiving proposals/quotations

o Negotiation of prices and contracts

o Creation and issuance of POs

o Work with the BU to monitor fulfillment and delivery of goods and services

o Manage supplier performance as may be required

o Managing supplier performance by initiating and coordinating annual post assessments

  • Perform continuing due diligence on tactical partners as may be required
  • Create and maintain a register of all non-outsourcing vendors
  • Where possible, create and maintain a catalogue of frequently purchased goods and services
  • Keep an accurate record of contracts, POs, invoices, delivery receipts, as well as relevant due diligence artifacts, and ensure availability of these records for examination, audit, or such other lawful purposes
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings and areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree relevant to the job
  • MBA a plus
  • Any relevant local procurement or supply chain certification is a plus Experience with agile methodologies.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in procurement or supply chain management roles
  • Experience in supplier relationship management and contract management
  • Familiarity and expertise in the end-to-end procurement process, including the use of relevant procurement systems and tools
  • Procurement process (strategic and tactical), policies, and regulations
  • Contract negotiation and management
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Market trends, pricing, benchmarking, and cost analysis
  • Risk assessment and mitigation relative to procurement
  • Ethical and legal considerations in procurement

Work Setup:

Setup: Hybrid (3X onsite per week)
