The Sales and Marketing Department is responsible for the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies aimed at achieving the sales volume targets of the company.
The Sales and Marketing General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and management of the sales and marketing of the auto loan product. This role encompasses overseeing all aspects of the auto loan business, including product development, sales, underwriting, risk management, customer service, and compliance. The General Manager is tasked with driving profitability, operational efficiency, and market expansion, ensuring the company delivers competitive, customer-centric auto loan solutions while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct research to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices in the auto loan and financing industry.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze market data and provide actionable insights to senior management to support nationwide growth.
- Business Planning: Develop business and marketing strategies to drive sales and present them to executives for approval.
- Implementation: Oversee the execution of approved plans, campaigns, and projects to achieve sales goals.
- Brand Management: Monitor brand performance and market trends to keep the company competitive in the auto loan sector.
Operational Responsibilities:
- Dealer & Agent Network: Build and maintain a network of accredited car dealers and agents to expand sales.
- Dealer Accreditation: Develop and manage a process for accrediting dealers and agents, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Sales Action Plans: Design and implement plans to achieve sales targets, including promotions and marketing initiatives.
- Value-Added Services: Partner with service providers (e.g., auto insurance) to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with teams like collections and operations to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Delinquency Management: Collaborate with the collections team to manage and resolve overdue accounts.
Branch Management:
- Operations & Leadership: Oversee all auto loan operations at the branch, including loan origination, approval, and disbursement. Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Sales & Business Development: Lead sales strategies to meet and exceed loan targets, including promoting loan products and cross-selling. Build relationships with car dealerships, brokers, and partners to grow the customer base.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to adjust sales tactics and marketing efforts. Build a pipeline of potential clients through outreach and relationship-building.
- Management Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a sales and marketing team, including Auto Officers (AOs) specializing in used car financing.
- Staff Performance: Evaluate team performance to ensure sales targets are met and address development needs.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
- At least 15 years in the financial services industry, with a minimum of 10 years in a senior management role in auto lending or a similar financial product.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of auto loan products, underwriting, and risk management.
- Proven success in driving sales growth and profitability in the lending industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance in the auto loan industry.
