The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for managing the flow of returned products efficiently and cost-effectively. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with various departments and customers to ensure timely processing and disposition of returned items.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receipt and Inspection: Receive returned products, conduct thorough inspections to determine condition and eligibility for resale, disposal or donation, and document findings accurately.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of returned inventory, including tracking quantities, locations, and disposition status.
- Data Analysis: Analyze reverse logistics data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction enhancement.
- Customer Support: Respond to inquiries from customers regarding returns in a timely and professional manner, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards governing reverse logistics processes, including product safety, environmental regulations, and data privacy laws.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for optimization within the reverse logistics process and propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of reverse logistics processes, procedures, and performance metrics.
Minimum Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in reverse logistics, inventory management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory management software or ERP systems preferred.
