Key Responsibilities
- Ensure inventory costs are recorded accurately and perform revaluations as necessary.
- Reconcile subsidiary ledgers with general ledger inventory balances; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze stock count results and verify causes of variances before adjustments are booked.
- Participate in physical stock counts and validate inventory adjustment requests, including witnessing disposals.
- Generate inventory reports and flag significant findings related to variances or shrinkage.
- Conduct margin analysis and investigate irregular margin ratios.
- Accurately record vendor invoices related to inventory, including additional costs; process payments for foreign suppliers.
- Coordinate with supply chain on short-shipped items and credit note applications.
- Monitor billing and cost allocation to affiliate units.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce inventory control risk.
- Perform other finance-related tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
- Proficient in finance systems and tools
- Effective communicator in both English and Filipino
- Highly organized, with keen attention to detail and accuracy
