Summary:

A leading financial institution is looking for a Senior Relationship Manager to grow the trust and investment distribution business through direct market engagement and company-sponsored initiatives. This role is responsible for managing institutional, large corporate, and qualified individual accounts by understanding client needs, delivering tailored investment solutions, and ensuring client retention and sustained business growth. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the role plays a key part in executing sales strategies, developing new business, and strengthening long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive direct-to-market prospecting and closing of trust and investment accounts from institutional, corporate, and qualified individual clients.
  • Prepare and deliver proposal letters and customized presentations; set and manage client and prospect meetings.
  • Identify, assess, and understand client investment needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Complete enhanced client due diligence and all documentary requirements to enable the conduct of business.
  • Conduct client presentations, financial planning sessions, and periodic investment reviews, as requested.
  • Negotiate applicable client fees within prescribed limits, when appropriate.
  • Coordinate with the Investments Team on the formulation and implementation of investment portfolios for separately managed funds.
  • Conduct periodic follow-through sales initiatives to drive growth through recurring investments and account franchising.
  • Serve as product champion for trust and investment products and services offered to institutional and qualified individual clients.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and support the rollout of new services, customized solutions, tools, and programs to grow new business.
  • Assist in the conceptualization and execution of sales campaigns and awareness-generation initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Head Office support units (Investor Services, Legal, Compliance, IT) and liaise with regulators, external counsels, and other external parties, as required.
  • Perform account management functions, including ensuring compliance with approved portfolio mix and strategy in coordination with the Investments Team.
  • Ensure timely communication of additional investible funds, liquidity requirements, and mandate changes to Account Services and Portfolio Managers.
  • Conduct periodic investment performance reviews and market updates with clients, as needed.
  • Provide day-to-day account administration, including responding to client queries, ensuring timely delivery of reports, and maintaining complete documentation.
  • Prepare relevant management reports and ensure proper safekeeping of client files.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure retention and promote additional business.
  • Make recommendations to middle management on business solutions and the resolution of complex client situations.
  • Assist in the training and upskilling of Relationship Managers and act as backup in account handling when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and budget guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Sales and Marketing, Accounting, or a business-related course
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales or account management, preferably within financial institutions
  • Proven track record of business growth based on portfolio size and accounts generated and managed
  • Strong understanding of trust and investment products, including IMA, TOFA, UITF, Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, and Equities
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and selling skills with a results-oriented, hunter mindset
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Detail-oriented, resilient, and capable of resolving conflicts and difficult client situations
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Willing to complete required trust courses and licensing requirements
  • Willing to travel within the Philippines and work on flexible schedules

Work Setup: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday

Location: BGC, Taguig City
