Transition Lead
Reports to: Manager, Transition and Stabilization
Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Transition Lead is responsible for executing Knowledge Transfer (KT), shadowing, go-live readiness, and early-life stabilization activities for functions transitioning into the captive Global Capability Center. This role ensures operational readiness through structured KT execution, documentation validation, risk management, and hyper-care coordination. The Transition Lead partners closely with U.S. stakeholders, Global Process Owners, and technology teams to deliver stable, compliant, and adoption-ready operations.
Essential Job Functions
Execute Knowledge Transfer & Readiness
Own KT execution including shadowing and reverse shadowing, proficiency validation, certification sign-offs, and readiness checkpoints to ensure receiving teams meet defined performance and quality standards.
- Validate Process Documentation & Controls
Review and validate SOPs, process maps, control documentation, and work instructions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness prior to go-live. - Coordinate Go-Live & Cutover Activities
Support cutover planning, access readiness, deployment coordination, and go-live execution in partnership with U.S. teams, Global Process Owners, and technology stakeholders. - Lead Hyper-Care & Early-Life Monitoring
Facilitate stabilization activities post-go-live, including issue triage, defect tracking, escalation management, and exit-from-hyper-care readiness based on defined KPIs. - Manage Risks, Issues, and Dependencies
Identify transition risks, quantify impacts, track mitigation actions, and escalate decisions using established RAID and governance protocols. - Provide Governance & Stakeholder Reporting
Prepare and deliver transition status updates, readiness dashboards, and executive-ready materials to support operational reviews and decision-making. - Support Continuous Improvement & Standardization
Contribute insights, lessons learned, and improvement recommendations to strengthen KT playbooks, transition standards, and future migrations.
Licensing/Certification
- Lean Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt), PMP, or PRINCE2 (preferred)
Education
- Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field (required)
- Masters degree (preferred)
Work Experiencex`
- 5+ years of experience supporting transitions, migrations, or shared services operations within a global or captive GBS/GCC environment
- Hands-on experience with Knowledge Transfer, shadowing models, go-live readiness, and stabilization support (required)
Training
- Formal training in change management (Prosci/ADKAR), process mining tools (e.g., Celonis, UiPath), Program and Project Management (PPM), Lean Six Sigma (preferred).
- Strong execution discipline and attention to detail
- Comfortable working across time zones with U.S. stakeholders
- Clear communicator with structured problem-solving skills
- Able to balance speed, quality, and risk in live operational transitions
