Senior Python Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Python AI Engineer to play a critical role in the migration and re-architecture of the core application into its newly aligned technology stack.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on modernizing legacy components, redesigning system architecture, and implementing scalable, cloud-native solutions within AWS. The ideal candidate combines deep Python expertise with strong data architecture skills and an understanding of modern AI tooling to accelerate development and system intelligence.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the migration and re-architecture into the new Python-based, AWS-native stack.
• Redesign legacy services into scalable, modular backend systems.
• Experienced in distributed architecture development (microservices) and cloud native applications.
• Develop high-performance APIs and backend services using Python.
• Optimize and refactor complex SQL queries and database structures.
• Architect and deploy cloud-native infrastructure within AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, etc).
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Explore and implement modern AI patterns (e.g., agentic workflows, task orchestration, LLM integrations) where strategically appropriate.
• Partner with DevOps and product stakeholders to ensure stability, performance, and security throughout the transition.

Required Qualifications

• Strong backend software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Python and backend system design.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database optimization.
• Hands-on experience building and migrating systems within AWS.
• Experience refactoring or modernizing legacy applications.
• Familiarity with AI-powered developer tools and LLM APIs.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, testing frameworks, and production-grade system reliability.
• Advanced English.

• Experience leading application migrations or platform re-architecture initiatives.
• Exposure to agent-based systems or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Background in high-availability enterprise systems.
• Experience in education technology or large-scale transactional platforms.
