Android Developer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Android Developer to join our fully remote engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Userlytics Android mobile application, ensuring a seamless, stable, and high-quality user experience.

This is a remote position. Candidates must be based in Spain or be able to work comfortably within the Central European Time (CET/CEST) timezone to align with team collaboration and meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using best practices and modern architectures.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs to ensure application stability and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate core services and RESTful APIs.
• Contribute across the full application lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, release, and maintenance.
• Ensure compatibility across different Android versions and screen sizes.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and responsiveness.
• Stay up to date with emerging mobile technologies, Android updates, and industry trends.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as an Android Developer.
  Proven experience releasing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Deep understanding of the Android SDK, Android lifecycle, and platform-specific challenges.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Hands-on experience with modern Android architecture components such as MVVM, LiveData, and ViewModel.
• Experience with reactive programming using RxJava and/or Kotlin Coroutines.
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization and memory management.
• Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notification systems.
• Proficient use of Git and version control workflows.
• English level B2+, with excellent written and verbal communication skills for daily collaboration in an international environment.

Project Details

Start Date: February 2026
Duration: Minimum 6 months, with a long-term extension option based on performance
Dedication: Full-time (8 hours/day)
