We are looking for a skilled and motivated Android Developer to join our fully remote engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the Userlytics Android mobile application, ensuring a seamless, stable, and high-quality user experience.
This is a remote position. Candidates must be based in Spain or be able to work comfortably within the Central European Time (CET/CEST) timezone to align with team collaboration and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using best practices and modern architectures.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs to ensure application stability and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate core services and RESTful APIs.
- Contribute across the full application lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, release, and maintenance.
- Ensure compatibility across different Android versions and screen sizes.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, and responsiveness.
- Stay up to date with emerging mobile technologies, Android updates, and industry trends.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience as an Android Developer.
Proven experience releasing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store. - Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Deep understanding of the Android SDK, Android lifecycle, and platform-specific challenges.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
- Hands-on experience with modern Android architecture components such as MVVM, LiveData, and ViewModel.
- Experience with reactive programming using RxJava and/or Kotlin Coroutines.
- Strong knowledge of performance optimization and memory management.
- Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs and push notification systems.
- Proficient use of Git and version control workflows.
- English level B2+, with excellent written and verbal communication skills for daily collaboration in an international environment.
Project Details
Start Date: February 2026
Duration: Minimum 6 months, with a long-term extension option based on performance
Dedication: Full-time (8 hours/day)
Login Time: No later than 12:00 PM (Spain time); earlier availability is preferred
