Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Lead / SDET Lead to drive quality, reliability, and delivery excellence across our platforms. This role combines strong software engineering in test with leadership and communication skills, ensuring that development teams consistently deliver stable, scalable, and high-quality software.

You will act as a bridge between Engineering, Product, and DevOps, translating business goals into clear, measurable quality outcomes. The role owns the test engineering and automation strategy, defines and evolves CI/CD testing standards, and ensures that API, UI, and performance testing are fully embedded into the development and release lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Test Strategy

• Define, own, and evolve the overall test strategy across teams and environments.

• Ensure quality standards are consistently applied throughout the SDLC.

• Translate product and business requirements into testable quality criteria.

Test Automation & Engineering

• Lead the design and implementation of test automation frameworks for:

  • API testing.

  • UI testing.

  • End-to-end testing.

  • Performance testing.

• Ensure automated tests run reliably in CI/CD pipelines.

• Improve system testability, reduce risk, and accelerate delivery.

CI/CD & Release Readiness

• Define and maintain CI/CD testing standards integrated with build and deployment pipelines.

• Own release readiness, including:

  • Test plans.

  • Quality gates.

  • Risk assessment.

• Ensure fast feedback cycles and high confidence releases.

Metrics, Defects & Reporting

• Define and track quality metrics (test coverage, defect trends, stability).

• Own defect management and root cause analysis.

• Provide clear reporting on quality status to stakeholders.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and guide SDETs and QA Engineers, promoting best practices in:

  • Test automation.

  • Agile delivery.

  • Quality ownership.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams.

• Foster a strong quality culture across teams.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Experience designing and running end-to-end automation tests in CI environments:

  • Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

• Strong experience testing application APIs.

• Experience with WebDriver-based UI automation using JavaScript.

• Experience managing tests and test data across multiple environments.

• Hands-on experience with at least one Cloud Provider:

  • AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Solid experience with Git.

• Proven ability to write and execute test plans.

• Experience with bug tracking tools:

  • Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Experience executing performance tests.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Nightwatch.js.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools:

  • Nagios, Datadog, AppDynamics, New Relic, Prometheus.

• Experience with deployment strategies:

  • Blue/Green.

  • Canary releases.

• Experience with Gatling.io for performance testing.
